Apalachicola, also known as the Oyster Capital of the World, is about an hour away from Panama City Florida. It is a beautiful small historic town that depicts the true nature of Old Florida. Lots of oak trees with spanish moss and little quaint stores that hug the Apalachicola Bay coastline. You'll see lots of shrimp boats bringing in the nightly fresh catch and locals diving for scallops to fry in their cast iron pans. We just know you'll enjoy this sleepy wonder of a town.

Please check in to your accommodation and relax. Anyone staying at The Gibson will be given an itinerary of where the Bride and Groom will be throughout the stay. Everybody is invited to ALL events. Please join us for anything on the itinerary. We would love to spend time with everyone while we enjoy the beautiful weekend. Long story short, YES, this is the Florida. But don't worry, we got you covered! Growing up in Florida everyone is taught at a young age on How to Run from an Alligator. We call it, the Zig Zag. Should you encounter an Alligator, run in a Zig Zag motion. They are fast, but they cannot make quick directional changes too close together.
